Kato Gozan (1922-2007): He was part of a family of potters that served the Owari clan. His work included blue-and-white porcelain and pottery for Ise Shrine and Meiji Shrine. He was active in modern culture, including film, publishing, and television, and held solo exhibitions at Takashimaya Department Store in Nihonbashi and Osaka. He was recognised as one of the best ceramic artists of Japan.
