The dark colour is obtained with an aged mixture of pigment made by the artist himself. The beard and eyebrows are made of horse tail.

Traditionally, the gentle face carved on the mask represents the face of a deity. It symbolizes peace and prosperity thus it is used for ceremonial purpose.
